Spring Break Safety

Be Sensible & Safe during Spring Break

Spring Break Safety

Your safety is a top priority for The Sandpiper Beacon, we want you and those around you to have fun whilst being responsible.

We want you to have an unforgettable experience for your Spring Break in Panama City Beach... we're pretty great like that. But we also want you to make it back home in one piece... and then you can come back next year too! So these few Spring Break safety tips are for your benefit.

Where Are You?

Make sure someone at home knows how to reach you. With Free WiFi here on the property, you can tweet, update your facebook status, or myspace your family & friends.

Keep in Touch

Make sure you can contact everyone in your group - even if it's just something as simple as a phone call or a text message. Just as important: make sure that they can reach you too!

Be $mart

As a guest here, you're obviously already pretty sensible with your money - but if you're going to leave the resort, use the safe in your room, and don't take more than you need.

Sunscreen!

You're in Panama City Beach, FL. SPF 15 is the minimum, and be sure to use water resistant sunscreen if you plan to go in the ocean, hot tub, or use our waterslides/pools.

Keep Hydrated

With so much entertainment going on all day and night, it'd be easy to forget - but staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water is important. (Doing a line of Jäger shots doesn't count!)

Drink Responsibly

We understand it's Spring Break, and yes, we have a Tiki Bar right here on the property... but know your limits. Trust us, Spring Break is much more fun when you know what's happening around you!

Just Say No

Do not use, buy, or sell drugs. This is Spring Break, not a break from common sense. This will be strictly enforced by Hotel staff, and local authorities.

Water Safety

Rip tides can be stronger than you think, so don't swim alone, and don't swim if you're drunk. It's also a pretty bad idea to show off your diving skills in the pool. Don't do it.

Watch Your Drinks

Don't leave your drink unattended, or accept a drink from a stranger - especially if it looks like there is something in it that probably shouldn't be!

Condoms

There's a couple of Spring Break souvenirs nobody wants to take home with them... guys and girls should always carry condoms with them (and use them!)
